I love Cynthia Eden's voice. I remember that the manner she writes always keeps me on the edge of my seat, whether information technology's a romantic suspense, or a paranormal romance, or both.
I normally hate "the Big Misunderstanding" in a romance, only this author has a mode of leaking out bits of the by, or the Misunderstanding to the characters, bit by scrap, and it no longer is such a Large Misunderstanding. It becomes something that anybody can deal with, rationally, you know, like in real life.
In this novella, we see Paige walking upwards to a werewolf stronghold in Alaska, and being dragged in. The matter is, Paige is a vampire, and in this world, vamps and werewolves do not mix. But Paige has the alpha's protection, and is allowed in. The big question is, how did she get his protection?
Drake hasn't seen Paige in years. Since the day she bailed on him, to be exact. They were in love, and supposed to encounter at the lake, but she never showed. Yet here she is, waltzing into his compound easy every bit y'all delight, wearing the medallion he gave her when they'd been in love. Oh, and Paige is a vampire now. She wasn't when they'd been together. So Drake wants to know what happened, but Paige merely gives him some story about needing him to kill a vampire. Drake plansto find out where his sweet Paige has been, and what she's upwards to now.
And this time? Drake won't allow Paige walk abroad.

Comparing this one to the ii previous ones, I have to say that it wasn't as proficient as I hoped it to be. The main reason for that is, that the h was only with H and during their 10 twelvemonth separation she hadn't had anybody else, while H had (at least that was hinted in his POV). That was a bit besides cliché for my taste.
What I loved, tho, is that the h was really smart and potent. She made the story worth-while for me, since that is what in the end what created the not bad mystery and angst.
Can't wait to read the fourth volume. :)

For a novella which is supposed to be a short read, this certain broke my middle. It was filled with a depth of emotion that I wouldn't have expected in a story of simply around 10,000 words or so.The pain Paige and Drake carried resonated through the words on the pages, their feelings for each other so poignant, you had to be a statue not to experience for them. Their suffering over their separation was heartbreaking. My heart went out for both of them but especially for Paige. Fifty-fifty subsequently everything she went through, she notwithstanding tried to protect Drake from the truth.
I loved both characters and all the twists and turns in the plot. This review makes me wanna go and read the book all over over again. Definitely a keeper.

I've really savor Eden's vampire/werewolf romances. All three take been swell and pack such a dial in under 200 pages.Drake Wyler and Paige Sloan's story is a heartbreaking ane because they were taken from the other and suffered so much in the x years that has past.
In one case Drake, 21, knew that then 19 year old Page was the i for him, he shared his secret of being a werewolf with her. He's plans of making her his mate was taken from him and for ten years he ever believed she just couldn't handle him being a werewolf.
When Paige suddenly shows upwards, as a vampire, and still wearing his necklace marking her safe from all others, she's taken to him. He pulls her into his arms and it's clear he doesn't have the same reaction to her that he does to all the other vampires. Simply at that place is all the same anger in him and he forces her to reveal why she's come.
She tells him she needs his protection from her maker, Gabe, who is after her. Drake is all to happy to promise her that Gabe will never impairment her again. However, every bargain comes with a price and his price is her in his bed.
Paige doesn't tell him, but in the ten years she's never stopped loving him. Never been with anyone else and wants nothing more to exist with him. Merely that dream ended with her life.

He set up upwards the vampire assail on Paige. It was Gabe that kept him from killing her. After Jeremiah was washed torturing her, he inverse her knowing he could use her to get to Drake later when he was Alpha.
Paige takes the shocked silence after she and Drake impale him to escape the chemical compound. Drake risked his pack challenging him when he goes after Paige. He finds her at the lake and despite her telling him she wasn't at the lake, he can see she was. The pain hits knowing the life they could accept had was taken from them. When they hear the vampires coming, they have off and he leads them to safety shelter. He calls for backup at the lake. While they wait for the pack to take intendance of the vampires, Paige gets him to mark her past taking her blood.
When the alarms go off, they see a wolf traitor leading the vampires to their shelter. Needing more time for her blood to menstruation through him, she knocks him out and faces Cuff down. Waking, Drake finds Paige in a stiff concord by Cuff with a pale to her middle.
Facing gunshots and the threat Paige may die; he focuses on his inner strength and takes control of the battle. He takes revenge for his parents' death and for Paige when he finally kills Gage.
With wolves surrounding her, Paige owns up to lying to him and walks abroad. Going back to his pack, he learns no one is challenging him after they learned what all Paige did to protect him.
For the last time, he goes later on his mate and for once they won't be taken from each other.

Bound in Sin is a fun novella to sink your teeth into for a quick bite between full length novels. Drake is a kick-donkey, sexy alpha and Paige a brave, adamant heroine; both intriguing characters that Cynthia Eden provides a smoothen dialogue for. The couple has a by history so when they're quick to heat up the pages it is believable and smokin' hot. (If you similar Cynthia Eden'due south other works and found them sizzling, and so look twice that with these paranormal erotic romance novellas.) The plot itself is activity packed and set in a elementary but captivating world that works perfectly for this size novella and despite the paranormal aspects of the story the situations are relatable. My only complaint about the Spring in Sin would be that the story very closely resembles the second novella in this serial, Spring in Darkness, and seemed slightly repetitive.
When it comes to Cynthia'due south books though, I don't fifty-fifty bother to read the blurbs anymore before picking them up. I just dig right in knowing that I volition fall in dearest with the story and characters by the first page.

Drake had loved her and she him, but all he knew was that she left him waiting by the lake waiting for her.
No sooner than she is escorted in to talk to him and make her proposal- that he kill Gabe another vampire for her- which he accepts on one condition considering he is even so attracted to her and wants her, merely the walled manor is attacked past vamps. The wolves think she ready them upwards. Tin she convince Drake that she came for an entirely unlike purpose? Will he retrieve from his heart or out of vengeance?
The plot was necessarily fast moving and gets to the signal speedily with such a low word count, only what at that place was did non waste around with anything unnecessary nor did it get out anything important out. There is steamy romance, action, intrigue and betrayal. Good stuff!

She will stop at nothing to protect Drake from the danger that'southward about to go far on his doorstep, but how will he react?
Drake tin't believe Paige is dorsum. The anger and injure over her disappearance as well as her new vampire condition do nothing to quell the lust and dearest he's ever felt for her. He knows she's hiding something from him, simply when he finds out what cloak-and-dagger she'due south been keeping from, it goes beyond annihilation he could have imagined.
I thoroughly enjoyed part three of the serial. I did wonder why the packs from all three books never teamed upwards or exchanged data that not all vampires were bad. That may have prevented a few overeager wolves from trying to pounce on the heroine and incurring the alpha'south anger. Seriously. At to the lowest degree Paige mentions that she'due south had contact with the pack in Florida.
I would never take guessed under what circumstances Paige became a vampire. That was a bit of a surprise. What followed afterwards was anticipated though. A friend of mine and I were testing out the lending possibilities of some of our kindle ebooks, and this is ane she lent me. This novella is actually the 3rd in the vampire/werewolf trilogy, so I've started out of society. The story grabbed me from the showtime, and though there was a history between Paige and Drake that had happened before this story, the author does a good job of filling in the details!Werewolves and vampires are natural enemies, so it's unusual for a vampire to show up at a werewolf compound looking for assistance. Ten years have passed since they concluding saw each other and in that location is a lot that has happened in those years! Paige was yet homo then. Drake is at present the Alpha of the Alaskan Pack. I don't want to give as well much away, simply the passion is still at that place betwixt the ii of them! I loved how much is packed into this novella! One thing that confused me at first was it most seemed as if Paige was trying to say that she, herself, was a werewolf until I realized that whenever she'd reference "wolf" she was referring to Drake. Once I realized that, it was no longer confusing.
The fight scenes were well done and the love scenes were hot! I definitely will have to cheque out more of Cynthia Eden's books.

This particular story is about Paige, a man turned vampire, going back to her past to endeavor and protect the love of her youth from the pure claret that turned her. She returns non knowing if she will be killed on sight considering information technology is a known fact werewolves kill vampires. Paige and Drake's reunion quickly turns into a bloody battle for both their lives from not only the pure-blood tracking them but by a traitor besides. Secrets are revealed, erstwhile misconceptions cleared upward, one-time dearest reawakened as they both fight to save one some other.
I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. What new alliances will be formed and what boundaries are going to be pushed...

Loved the story! It is and so sweet. It's kind of unique too because hero and heroine had a history together and something happened that fabricated them separated. Then, they met again! And awwwww the meeting was mixed with overwhelming and heart breaking. At the same time, it was heart warming too. Because of what happened, they both became tortured, damaged souls. I'm sucker for that. Their haunted pasts, reading them made my middle clenched. So

Purchased the Fever Bound bundle included books 1-four in this serial.
Short violent and intense with picayune else to really say for it.
The books desc. tells yous the plot just not much else happens past that.

No earth building. No real plot or character development,no time to get reacquainted or letting them get to know each other once again.

They can't . There isn't fourth dimension . Just enough time for a few rushed sexual practice scenes ,I think in that location are two,want good enlighten to retrieve to exist honest. And then one drama scene or fight .
While I'chiliad thrilled to see a man be he shifter and especially an alpha who was willing to await for his woman to return . That's awesome, specially since he didn't seem to have reason to look information technology. At all. An blastoff male who isn't a man hor ?

But be that as information technology may , it was one or the few things I really liked here and that definitely was not enough.
Paige didn't always make sense and with the near constant drama or fighting she didn't get a run a risk to explain herself.
Drake was ok,simply he felt similar a caricature of what y'all'd expect a loyal alpha type to exist .
Rather intense merely sadly easily forgotten.
If yous are offered this on sale or gratuitous in a bundle or something I'd recommend for a moments entertainment .
Otherwise no.
